The **National Metro Train Prototype Project** represents one of the most significant milestones in the country’s railway industry toward developing domestic capabilities in the design and manufacturing of urban rail transportation equipment. The project was initiated with the aim of establishing sustainable domestic production capacity for metro trains, and its first prototype was completed in **2020** and entered the specialized testing phase. With a **localization rate of more than 85%**, the train’s design represents a major milestone in the development of rail transportation technology and the reduction of reliance on foreign resources.
In accordance with legal and contractual requirements, the **issuance of the Safety Certificate for this train** was required to be carried out by a qualified foreign consultancy. Following technical evaluations and negotiations by the **National Train Manufacturing Task Force**, a qualified consultant was selected. The consultant’s responsibilities include **reviewing documentation, evaluating the design, supervising tests, and providing final confirmation of the train’s compliance with international standards**. This stage of the project is of critical importance to the **entry of the National Train into operational service**.
