The first metro trainset, comprising five cars out of a total of two trainsets (10 cars), arrived in Isfahan at dawn on Thursday, 18 Dey 1399 (7 January 2021). The second trainset will arrive next week. Valued at 3 trillion rials, the two trainsets will be added to Isfahan’s urban rail fleet. Their introduction on Line 1 is expected to increase daily ridership by 30,000 passengers and reduce train headways.
