Behro Comprehensive Consulting Engineers was initially established in 1987 in response to the strategic need of the Tehran metropolitan area for the development of metro networks and urban transportation infrastructure. Following years of practical experience and consolidation of the specialized capabilities of leading engineers in this field, Behro was officially registered in 2001 and formally commenced its professional development trajectory.

Over several decades of activity, Behro has served as the principal consultant for Tehran Metro projects, delivering a broad spectrum of services including design and engineering, supervision and quality control, project management, and Employer’s consultancy services under design-and-build contracts. In recent years, these valuable experiences have enabled the company to expand its operations beyond the capital, undertaking major urban rail projects in metropolitan areas such as Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, and Rasht.

From its inception, Behro’s mission has been centered on institutionalizing integrated metro engineering—an interdisciplinary approach that combines multiple engineering disciplines within a unified framework. By applying up-to-date technical knowledge, modern standards, and a structured scientific methodology, the company has played a significant role in enhancing the quality of design and execution of Tehran Metro line projects.

Today, leveraging an extensive network of specialists across disciplines including structural engineering, architecture, railway engineering, traffic engineering, geotechnical engineering, mechanical engineering, various branches of electrical engineering (telecommunications, control, and power), rolling stock engineering, operations, and other interdisciplinary fields, Behro has become one of the most comprehensive and capable consulting engineering firms in the national transportation sector.
