Behro Consulting Engineers, as project MC in all aspects of supply, installation and commissioning of equipment and facilities, has played a key role in leading and supervising this project.
Behro's services in electrical and mechanical systems in this project include trains, power supply systems, signaling, telecommunications, control and ventilation for stations and tunnels, BAS, fire alarm and extinguishing equipment, as well as depot and parking equipment. The telecommunication system includes data transmission subsystems, radio telecommunications, clock system, PA and CCTV.
Project Description
Tehran Metro Line 4, about 22 km long, starts from Kolahdooz station located on Doran highway in the southeast of Tehran and passes through Piroozi street (several stations) and Enghelab street (stations such as Darvazeh Dowlat and Theatr-E Shahr) and after passing Towhid, Shadman, Dr. Habibollah and Ostad Moin stations in Azadi street, arrives at Azadi Square (Tehran West Terminal) and after passing Ekbatan Town, reaches Eram-e Sabz Station on Line 5 (Tehran-Karaj metro line). Extension to Mehrabad Airport, with length of about 3 km, includes 3 stations, 4 LPS and one RS substation. The western extension of this line to the Janatabad area with length of about 4 km with 3 stations is under construction.
Line 4 includes 19 underground stations including 5 intersection stations and 3 high voltage substations (HVS). The line also includes 15 RS substations, 48 LPS substations, one depot and parking near R4 station in Afsariyeh area, and one parking lot near A4-3 station in Ekbatan area. Control center of this line is located in the existing control center building.
The capacity (PPHPD) of this line is 45,000 with a headway of two minutes. One of the special features of this line is construction of island platforms in Eram-e Sabz and Kolahdooz stations, where passengers on both routes use the same platform to get on and off the trains.
